I am so honoured to have made the new logo for Social Media Day Halifax.
It is a local conference that blew everyone’s socks off last summer. Their tagline “Inspiring Action” really spoke to me, not only as regular conference speaker but also attendee. Social Media Day Halifax delivered on content, while showcasing local success stories. The work of the organizers was unbelievable, and holding the event in a movie theater was perfect. Talk about inspirational!
Their 2018 conference was also a highlight of my speaking career. I gave a talk about designing for more click engagement, and the room was packed with people ready to get their design on! Typography, the design principals that spell C.R.A.P (seriously), stock photography. I covered it all. The audience even loved the fact that my slides were full of animal butts. Such is the way of my presentations.
The logo was a labour of love as I spent hours looking at hashtags in every conceivable way. You can read about the concept behind the final design over on their blog.
